The similarities and dissimilarities between the Great Society and the Vietnam War

There are many similarities and dissimilarities between the Great Society and the Vietnam War economically, socially, and government policies. Economically, in the Great Society period there was less spending in contrast to the Vietnam war the USA spent a lot more money on the war. Socially, the similarity was that poverty rose in both times of that current time period. Government policies were very different while in the Great Society it was time for lots of economic improvement acts or the medical care while no women could take part but, during the Vietnam War more women joined the government and were given equal rights.
