12 Angry Men: Juror 8 Is A Hero

Juror 8 is a hero because of his revolt against the status quo.
The 8th juror is the first to vote not guilty because of his reasonable doubt and he had the confidence to stand up for his beliefs. He takes his role as a juror seriously and only wants the defendant to have a fair trial by analysing all of the facts and evidence.

While it seems at the beginning of the play that none of the jurors are taking their role seriously, and just wish to get on with their lives, there is one man, the 8th juror who votes not-guilty.
