The drive was very nerve racking. I had never attended a meeting for Drug Addictions. Different thoughts kept running through my head about what it would be like. The only thing I've ever seen about a AAA or any kind of those meetings are from movies. I drove with the music loud and thoughts about the meeting running through my head. My heads were shaking and sweating, I kept thinking how out of place I would be and feel. When I parked and finally got of the car, the walk seemed really long, even though it was a short walk.

wasn't to many people yet. I kind of stood around and didn't really talk. It took 10 minutes for people to arrive. After 15 of being there and younger man who sat at the tip of the circle, whom I took to be the counselor. Everyone started to take their seats. Some people were dressed in nice pair of jeans and a shirt, others were dressed down. I felt different emotions sitting in the group, a mix between nervous and shy and kind of scared. Everyone seemed okay, but I knew that I was here for a project and they all had something wrong or they wouldn't have been there.


Sure enough the man whom I thought was the counselor, was. He sat straight and looked around the room. Seemed like he knew a lot of them for quite some time. He spoke to the group and started with a question. "How was everyone's week? Any setbacks? Any step's forward? Please share what you feel comfortable with."
