1). Three of the Major characters in the play are: 1. Nora the wife of Torvalt who in the beginning is a naive and immature woman who squanders money while trying to obey all the demands of her husband. She is a mother who does not have the education nor maturity to take care of her children or herself. Nora makes mistakes and lies so that her husband does not know of her actions or so that she doesn’t have to face the repercussions of her actions. He is sheltering of his wife and stifling of her growth and development as a woman and a human being, by treating her as a child. 3. Krogstad is a man who worked with Torvald and due to Torvalds new position his has been compromised. He holds a grudge against them and although it seems his motivations for trying to change his position as jobless, he seems to want to use any means necessary weather unethical or not to get the job done. He uses Nora as a pawn to blackmail her and put her through torment so that he may be able to keep his job. Not knowing that Torvald would do anything necessary to hold his position over Krogstad. Krogstad seems to be a good man in a bad situation until we learn of his plot to use Nora in such an unethical way. We learn he find pitty and empathy in her and ultimately gives up in his plot thanks to one of Nora’s friends who was his former lover. ...
