How many of you have recently accomplished something that you were proud of? How many of you believe that you have created a positive impact on our world, your community or your family? And did you receive any recognition for your efforts? Did anyone thank you? Often our efforts to create good in our world go unnoticed, some people prefer to go unnoticed and many others would rather get their glory. But before I go any further I should introduce myself.

My mom was the opposite, she came from a fairly poor family and was probably very lucky to have met my father. While my dad was away working non-stop she stayed at home with me, made me meals, cleaned the house, drove me around and punished me when I needed to be. is about a poor family with a sick child who finds a huge pearl that is worth a great amount of money. The father of the family, Kino, brings the pearl to the agents where he plans on selling it. His wife, Juana, is so happy that their family has finally caught a break. The agents offer him very little money because they know he has to take one of their offers.
