-At this point I would allow the confederacy to continue.  Only because I wouldn't want to lose the support of 8 states and stopping the confederacy would cause a Civil War.


What strengths do you think the South had? What strengths do you think the North had? How did these factors influence the outcome of the war?

- The South were fighting on their on soil to begin with so they knew the land better than the north.  They were fighting a defensive war meaning they didn't have to go out and capture land, they just had to survive longer until the north gave up.  The North had industrialization which enabled them to feed, clothe, and transport the troops way better than the south.  One main factor that helped the North win the war was Navy. Since the war was being fought along coastlines it was easy for the navy to step in and help out.
