Throughout the National Basketball Association, there are many exceptionally talented players. Each year, certain players have a breakout season and rise to the top of their positon in terms of stats and skill. Last year, one specific player defines the definition of a breakout season. Kevin Love, the forward of the Minnesota Timberwolves, showed the world why he was worthy of a starting position in the All-Star game. According to ESPN.com, Love averaged 23.7 points per game and also averaged 15.7 rebounds per game. Surely, he is most definitly deserving of an All-Star starting spot with stats like that, right? Second, coach voting will provide more competitiveness in the All-Star game because of the equal talent of the players. Last, coach voting will introduce new players to the fan base.
First, coaches should vote for the All-Star starting line-up because they know from personal expierence who has the most talent and which players deserve the spot. On a daily basis, coaches scout and prepare game plans for other teams best players. They know better than anyone else, what players are the best in the world.
