Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease of the human brain that is characterized by impairment of memory and a disturbance in at least one other thinking function. It occurs when nerve cells in the brain die. (ALZ.org) this disease only occur in elderly people. Due to being employed as a caregiver, when I hear about Alzheimer's disease, I automatically think of older people. They're many causes and warning signs of Alzheimer's disease. This stage last from two to four years associating with repeated questions and some problems expressing and understanding language. The second stage is moderate which duration are two till ten years. During this stage the person can no longer cover up problems. Pervasive and persistent memory loss impacts life across settings. They start to ramble speech, unusual reasoning, and confusion about current events, time, and place.

The last stage is the severe stage, which a person is confused about past and present. They loose recognition of familiar people and places (ALZ.org).
