Many countries in the world have their own education system. They have many differences between each another. They all have advantages and disadvantages. However, American educational system is better than the Chinese educational system. The differences in grading systems, teaching and learning methods, and the rights of the students and teachers in will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

China, the United States has many colleges, and many of them don’t have any hard college entrance examination. If the students have a good Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score or a good Grade Point Average (GPA), usually they can get into some good colleges, such as Berkley University, Stanford University, and Harvard University. If they have a low GPA or SAT, they still can get into some community college, such as City College of San Francisco or Skyline College. What they need to do is take a placement test. After they get in to these community colleges, they still can transfer to some four-year colleges when they complete the required units in the community colleges.
In China, the grading system focuses on the final examination. “ It only grades the average of the midterm examination (30%) and the final examination (70%) as the final grade of the semester” (Education in China p.145).
