Animal Farm: Power Corrupts

In the book Animal Farm, George Orwell presents a world in which a socialistic society set up by the animals slowly turn into an oligarchy run by the pigs. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." This quote by Lord Acton explains that the more power man has, the more power man will crave. And the pigs are a good example of this because, as soon as they got a taste of power, they could not stop, which resulted in training the vicious dogs to kill any animal who protests what the pigs are doing is wrong, changing the Seven Commandments for their own benefit, and feeding the animals less while making them work harder than any animal in the entire country.
