The Famous Mathematician Archimedes

Archimedes was born in 287 B.C. in small self-governed town in Sicily. In 312 B.C. Syracuse, Sicily was captured by the Romans. The way Archimedes died is unknown. Some people believe that Archimedes was studying a mathematical diagram and a roman soldier ordered him to go meet General Marcellus but Archimedes refused saying he had to finish working on the matter and the soldier got furious at Archimedes and the soldier struck Archimedes and killed him. Archimedes was believed to be at age 75 when he was killed.
Archimedes father, Phidias, was an astronomer and believed one of his teachers and his biggest inspiration. Though not much is said ...
