Notoriously known for his controversial pieces of art, Banksy has yet again sparked the interest of the public. In this artwork, he successfully makes a profound statement about religion as well as society.

The statement I interpret from this piece is that religion, something that is meant to be sacred, has become destructive.

One can argue that religion has become a negative impact on hopeless modern society. In the image, Banksy has adapted a religious artwork. Henry V. In `Henry V' we see how the church is corrupt and how power and wealth are dangerous tools. In `Henry V', the church implies that God would support war and that attacking France is the right thing to do. This positive-turned-negative modern society is also highlighted and made public in television shows such as `Homeland.' In this series it deals with bombing and wars between the United States of America and Iran. What is truly disturbing is that suicide bombers and terrorist attackers are generally religious people. In the program it shows how these people pray to Allah every morning and evening. It also displays both sides to the story such as the wrongs done by mankind in America, leaving us questioning ourselves.
