Bela Fleck And The Flecktones Concert

When I was asked if I wanted to go to a , I jumped at the opportunity. I had heard of the name, but I never really heard the music. I really didn't know what to expect. Someone told me that their bass player was one of the best today and that the rest of the band was just as amazing as he was. So as I made my way to the Center for the Arts, I was very excited to see what they sounded like and better yet if they were as talented as I heard. We made our way down to our seats (very good ones to I might add for buying the tickets right before we went in) and settled in, eagerly anticipating the show.

and funk, to name a few. Much of the music had no singing and the songs were very long and complicated, involving different parts and many complicated solos.
In between songs each musician performed solos on their instruments, which proved the talent, they held on their instruments even more. The bassist was the most impressive, though. He soloed for probably a half an hour doing things that seemed impossible. He slapped with amazing speed and precision, played the most difficult runs and slides and kept the entire audience in awe for the entire half an hour. Not to downplay the other musicians, because each of them were amazing in the own way.
Overall I would rate this as one of the best concerts I had ever been to. The mixture of jazz and the various other styles of music they performed were very entertaining and the talent and skill the musicians displayed brought the show to the next level. ...
