has the same life and interests, hence not everyone belongs to the same thing or person. As individuals in society, we differentiate others by claiming we are ‘dissimilar’ or ‘diverse’, and therefore, sometimes don’t belong to groups. If we are born with a genetic medical condition or illness, disease or disability, we inevitably disperse ourselves away from belonging to these types of groups as observers believe they don’t have anything in common. However, these individuals form their own groups. But do they feel an underlying sense of not belonging to the larger community within? These individuals do not choose to have these health issues; they inherit this from their DNA and mutations occur, yet this gives us a reason to separate ourselves? And does it give us a right to make these individuals feel as if they don’t belong to a group? Therefore, when individuals don’t belong, they lose a sense of happiness.
