this information is drilled into a student's mind for twelve years. It is very difficult to forget something you have been taught for years. A gap year is beneficial for many teens going from high school to college because it allows for them to have a chance to travel the world and experience other ways of life, have an opportunity to discover who they really are outside of school, and gives them some time to reflect on their future to figure out what they really want for themselves. Students are more than their academics, this way they have a better chance for being prepared for college and their future. I took a semester off when I graduated high school and had an internship at DC for a small company in the accounting department.
