Bipolar disease can sometimes be a person worst nightmare, and to others it could be a gift. This notion of bipolar disease is depicted in William Shakespeare’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth” through the main character of Macbeth. Shakespeare wrote this play as a way to describe the affects on a persons conscience when they feel that they have done wrong. It is through the authors description of bipolar that the reader learns that if you do wrong then you have a very good chance of going crazy, but then again if you do wrong you might think that you’ve done the right thing and let something that shouldn’t have been continue to happen. Once the king was dead Macbeth’s rein had begun. “O, yet I do repent me of my fury, that I did kill them.” In this quote Macbeth is admitting to killing the servants of King Duncan accusing them of killing the King to take away the attention from him. “Madness is to think of to many things in succession too fast, or of one thing too exclusively.” (Voltaire). This quote almost exactly explains what Macbeth was doing after he killed King Duncan. He began to get paranoid and started thinking of ways that someone could have seen him commit the murder and ways in which someone could find out that he committed the murder.
