are two very different types of government used to some extent today. Capitalism is based on a free market, individual investments and decisions, and making money. Capitalists own capital, means of production, of companies and benefit from others’ labor. Communism is based on liberating the conditions of the proletariat, or lower class. Communism uses communal ownership and has a hope of better economical equality. Communists want to spread the wealth more evenly throughout the people. Carl Marx started the idea of Capitalism, or Socialism, during the Industrial Revolution. a small income. Capitalism allows people to make their own decisions about their lives. However, Communism does the opposite. People are forced to settle for being average. Everyone is the same as everyone else and nobody is allowed to want to be richer or more successful than others, because everyone shares. Unfortunately, humans are not naturally settling. People are competitive by nature and Communism goes against that idea and restricts people to being average.
One reason people are only average under Communism is the fact that there is no motivation. People have no reason to work hard, do good deeds, or become something great. Under Communism, everyone shares and will end up with the same wealth anyway. There is no individual motivation. This also hurts the community and country.
