We have all watched movies or read books involving murders or near death experiences. Most of them are fiction; some are based on true stories. Although I didn't die, my experience could have gone many different ways. It was August, 2011 and I was going about my day as I normally did. My friend and I were doing a restoration on an old John Deere dozer he had on his property across the street from his house. We were having a great time, as we always did while we worked. cut the lights on. I got about half-way in and heard a noise that sounded like someone dropping something. I turned around to grab a flashlight from the truck. When I went back in, I heard the noise again. I shined the light around but saw no one. I got to the breaker box and flipped the light switch. As soon as I did that, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man standing up. He had some kind of ninja sword thrusting toward me. I grabbed the blade as it pierced into my chest area. I pulled it out and pushed him onto the table behind him. I realized it was our friend that was living there. While I was holding him and the blade on the table, he reached with his other hand and pulled a revolver out of his holster. I grabbed it with my other hand as a shot fired.
