An experience that significantly influenced my academic interest in education stems from the death of my uncle. In today’s society, students spend more time at school than at home. Therefore, teachers must be in-tune with their students. If teachers cared more about their students and wanted to make a difference in their lives, then maybe my uncle would be here today.

to try to help my uncle with his interest in pharmaceuticals, maybe he could have used his knowledge in a positive way. Teachers are supposed to be role models and people that teenagers can talk to, whether they are having trouble at home, need someone who may understand them better, or for actual help in the class.
I know that I want to be a part of the education system and I want to work with teenagers, whether it be as a high school teacher or possibly as a high school counselor. I am interested in education because I hope to make a difference in the students of the future and set them on the road to success. I want to inspire students and make learning something that they want to do and not something they are forced to do.
