Colorado

Colorado is located in the Rocky Mountain region in the Western United States. Its total area is 104,091 square miles and 5,024,748 people live there. Seventy-Five percent of the population are Anglos. Hispanics make up thirteen percent of Coloradans and African Americans make up four percent. The Capital of Colorado is Denver, also the most populous city in the state. Other large cities include Colorado Springs, Aurora, and Fort Collins.

There are four different geographical regions in Colorado, the Great Plains in the east, the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado, the Colorado Plateau along the west and a small area known as the Intermontane Basin north of the Colorado Plateau. The ...

Colorado is in the Highland climate. Winter in this climate is generally cold and snowy and summers are warm and dry with cool nights. Colorado has lots of sunshine and low humidity. There is an average of fifteen inches of precipitation in Colorado every year.

Festivals and events in Colorado are numerous but there are several that Colorado is well-known for. Rodeos are very popular in Colorado.
