The two books Lord Of The Flies and Hatchet entail essential information about how to keep yourself alive if that unfortunate situation came about. William Golding, the author of Lord Of The Flies, writes about a plane crash on a deserted island. All of the adults have been killed and for as much as they know they are the only human beings presiding on the land. Here the boys must work together as a collective group to attain a cooperative and organized form of lifestyle. a high and everyone fears for their lives. Although I can’t explain the ending of William Golding’s book (because I am not sure what exactly happens) I’m sure it is vaguely similar to that of Gary Paulson’s book Hatchet.
The theme of the story Hatchet is determination, perseverance, and survival. Brian Robeson, whose parents are divorced, flies to visit his father in the Canadian wilderness. His pilot has a heart attack and dies while the plane is still in the air. Brian manages to land the plane in a lake and escaped unharmed. The difficult part now presides over him, surviving until rescued. He builds shelter, and finds a plentiful cherry tree to eat. Now weeks have passed, he makes a primitive bow and arrow to shoot quarrels and fish for more filling dinners. One day a horrendous tornado hovers over his shelter and destroys a great portion of it. Through this the tail of the airplane tips out of the water and Brian realizes that there is a very important survival kit ...
