Fundamentals of a Computer System

Computer systems can take an input and process it. The results of the processing are shown as outputs. They store data for later use.

Input - a device that allows a user to enter information into the computer system. E.g. microphone, webcam, keyboard, scanner mouse, sensors, barcode reader.

Process - this is where the data inputted is used to convert the input into a readable form. E.g. search database to find product details and calculate price.
