John was a guidance counselor and football coach at a public black school. Condoleezza Rice: a memoir of my extraordinary, ordinary family and me. Angelena Wesley was an educator and also an organist at their church. During the era of 1954 segregation between black and whites was at its peak. For both of Condoleezza’s parents to have stable and comfortable work and extra activity speaks a lot for how they ran their family. Birmingham Alabama is where the family resided. It is the same part of Alabama that Dr. Martin Luther King is from. Many sit ins protest and struggle for equality stemmed from Birmingham Alabama. With those fact detailing the period in time we can only imagine what it was like for Condoleezza growing up.

and unjust with all the negative things she had been exposed to. Segregated town and school, where she was looked on as less than with no regard for her academics. Fortunately her parents John and Angelena Wesley were great mentors; they set a great foundation and lead her by example to the betterment of life. Anything is worth the fight and work of hard study when it can positively affect your life and your family as well.

Condoleezza received her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Denver. She got her master's from the University of Notre Dame. Last but not least her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies, at the University of Denver. ...
