In "The Masque of the Red Death", by Edgar Allen Poe, it discusses about how death affects everyone and that everyone"s time will come and eventually die. In "The Masque of the Red Death", Poe talks about how death is a never ending cycle and that no one can defeat it. The anti-transcendentalists, like Poe, would agree with his views on death; the transcendentalists, like Henry David Thoreau show their views on life in their own pieces of literature.
