It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that crimes in schools have increased. Over the past few years we have seen any incidents and heard of many on the news. Fact prove that the total number of violent deaths at school has decreased each year, but the number of violent incidents with multiple fatalities has increased from 1995-1998 as opposed to 1992-1995. reading many articles there was this one article that grabbed my attention right away. The title of the article was “Violence against U.S. kids is common”. Just imagine how many students must have read that heading and felt unsecure about themselves. When a person reads such articles they do not sit there and worry about what is going to be discussed in class that day but they think of how they can protect themselves if something like that was to happen to them. Going back to the article it states that “everyday in America, thirteen children under the age of 20 are murdered”. (Internet www.cnn.com)
In conclusion, I feel that crimes in school have caused many students to have lower academic levels of education. If you are not secure when you are at school studying then obviously you will have lower grades. Many people don’t take the issue about crimes in school too seriously.
