CULTS

For many years, cults have been a subject of great controversy. A cult is a group of people that are bound together by an appreciation of the same thing, person, and ideals. Usually these groups keep close because of religious reasons, but their beliefs are almost always considered strange by outsiders. Cults are similar to clans or congregations, but are usually referred to as a group of people with the same religious beliefs.

of cults usually tend to be powerful and abusing. These leaders let the power go to their heads and now they think that they are invincible. An example of a power-abusing “religion” leader is Reverend Jim Jones who initiated a ritual suicide to protest racism and fascism and fascism. Although in his own mind he had all intentions, to save the world from the Armageddon, he was insane and in the overabundance of power, he was able to kill more than nine hundred people. It is unclear whether Jim Jones had committed suicide at the ritual or was shot by another, so it uncertain to say that he had any intentions to die also. Although his protest were for good moral purposes, it was wrong of him to use his power. He had overstepped the line to abuse the power he was appointed by putting other people’s lives at jeopardy.
