In our society now there are a lot of cults among us. People in our society join these cults for several reasons. There were several reasons that I found while researching, but the ones that stood out the most to me were thru seeking spiritual inlightment, acceptance, friends and family members already in a cult, people that are dissatisfied with life, and last person reasons. They developed into a religion but people thought that they were “Incapable of being a religion.” In Wicca they say they worship what might be an “Under God.” Which is a Goddess of fertility and her horned consort. In other words…God of the hunt. Wicca is a very good example of a cult, thought people think negative on it. If they looked more into it they would learn it’s not about being a witch, warlock, or any magical ability. It’s based on nature that surrounds us.
You might ask yourself, “Why do people join cults?” Well, I’m here to tell you some basic facts. People join cults because they want to seek spiritual enlightment. They are looking for something interesting in their life. Maybe they are bored with their basic routine and need something else to do. In religion, there are all kinds, and some may be boring than others. To feel brand new again they may want to focus and go into a new religion.
