Otherwise, they would just get into the reoccurring pattern of having to start up where they left off, after ever small step forward. “Proletarian revolutions…criticize themselves constantly, interrupt themselves continually in their own course…deride with unmerciful thoroughness the inadequacies, weaknesses and paltriness of their first attempts…” (Marx, 597).
