Abstract
Eating disorders are commonly found throughout the world. There are many type of eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating. They first began in western countries and slowly made their way around the world. Eating disorders are illnesses that can be cured with treatment. There are many misconceptions that follow eating disorders due to lack of education and awareness of the disease . Adolescent/early adulthood eating disorders are more prevalent due to lack of awareness, barriers to treatment, and education on eating disorders.
There are many types of eating disorder which include but is not limited to anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating, and restrictive food intake.
