First day of school can always be nerve wrecking, whether itā€™s elementary school or college. Iā€™ve never really been the type of person who has been afraid of new environments or new things, I always enjoy change. But something about starting college really shook me up. I think being the first generation to go to college in my family also played a huge role in me being really nervous and anxious. I remember all throughout high school, out of all my friends I was the most excited and eager one out of the group to be done with high school and move onto college. But it wasnā€™t until senior year rolled around, that my eagerness went from a steady ten to about a five.

soon, it still felt like it crept out of nowhere. I remember waking up super early that morning. It was around seven in the morning because I enrolled into a class that started at 8:30 am. I wanted to make sure I didnā€™t accidentally sleep in and also wanted enough time to eat breakfast. It was a nice summer august morning, so I chose to wear a pair of ripped jeans and a simple t-shirt which wasnā€™t as hard to decide unlike other mornings. When I had finished getting ready, I headed downstairs to the kitchen, along the way I greeted my two dogs who smothered me in wet kisses and a bunch of jumping. as well as my parents who were getting ready to go to work. That morning I had my everyday cup of coffee along with a yogurt parfait I wanted to make sure I would last a couple hours.
