Throughout history, there have been many events that have effected the world, and one of those events is the ¨French Revolution¨. Their was a call for freedom and equality and not only did it effect France, but it effected the rest of the world as well. This is what lead to the French Revolution.

There were many causes of the French Revolution. One major cause was that the king had absolute power. The king used this power to being able to imprison people without cause, he had the power to levy taxes, and he had the power to censor free speech and the press, as explained in Doc 1. The French Revolution had a big impact on France. The government has changed many times creating ¨turmoil in the country. ¨The Reign of Terror¨ happened in which it has caused many to be executed because if you were accused of plotting against the government, you were killed, which is explained in Doc 6. Some outside information on the ¨Reign of Terror¨ was that an estimated 40,000 people were killed during the Reign of Terror. And the Reign of Terror ended on July 28th,1794 with the execution of Maximilien Robespierre. But other then the chaos, the different governments made beneficial changes. People were granted with freedom of speech, and education was more readily available as explained in Doc 7.
