The authorities have the ability to "tailor their interventions narrowly" to fit their intended goal. Even though television is not government owned anymore (since 1983), most of the channels belong to the key political figures. The fact of the lack of diversity in news is simply explained by their successful "narrow tailoring".

When it comes to the internet regulations, the situation is completely different. Even though cyberjournalists are no less accountable for what they write than print journalists, the internet is the first mass medium which does not need a production license.
