Hypothesis: If the new species has a vertebrae, then it will be located in between the crocodilians and the birds on he cladogram.

Methods: After forming our hypothesis, we looked up each gene sequence separately. We wrote down the top three most similar animals per gene sequence, and found what kinds of animals each were (crocodilian and bird, in this case).
