and every practice, and each time I was on the ice, I played as hard as I could for those couple of minutes. I thought that I would always be a hockey player, no matter who tried to tell me that I couldn’t or shouldn’t play. I played for about seven years, and the majority of those years I spent in an all girls league. The first few seasons in the girl’s league were extremely fun; I made many new friends and had great coaches. I loved playing hockey because I was the only one out of my friends that played, so I felt unique when I told people I was a hockey player.
