The herpes simplex is a disease that is untreatable, meaning once a person contracts this disease there is no curing it. Once a person is infected with herpes the virus are spread to afferent nerves to the afferent nerve bodies where they reside lifelong. Once triggered the latent virus multiplies and new virus particles then move into the nerve cells which are transported along each neuron axon which are transported to the nerve terminals in the skin which then cause an HSV symptom.

The herpes virus does not cause persistent palicyst ( a sac containing fluid reoccurrence) , it appears in cycles. It is undefined as to why these symptoms reoccur. It is known that sexual activity, physical or emotional stress, being sick and fatigue can cause an outbreak to occur. A person affected with herpes can take medication to lesser the outbreaks. As well as medication the longer the person has this infection a person will see less outbreaks.
