Russia

Russia had no originated flag in the middle of the 17th century. So they came up with the colors white, blue, and red during the construction of a naval ship. One of the engineers on the ship knew they needed a flag to raise during the time of battle. But there was controversy about were the flag originated from. Most were saying that it was influenced by the Dutch flag. Other ship builders from Europe had come to build ships in European style. The exact colors used for the German flag were not officially defined at the time of the flag's adoption and have changed since then. It did not always begin with the original colors red, black, and gold. It started with freedom wars against Napoleon. Germany’s army was made up of many different soldiers from different parts of Russia. So when it came time for battle they all were wearing different colors. So they had to agree to all dress in black with gold buttons and red trimmings.
