ducking from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC), and many activist groups, Stern still manages to stay on the air. However, that air time has come with a hefty price. Stern has gone down in the history books for receiving the largest fine that the FCC has issued to any one radio broadcaster.
Howard Stern has always had a loyal following, but as the years go by he seems to expand the cult of Stern fans by the millions. This is a significant issue to the people of our society. Decade after decade the rules, morals, and ethical standards of this country seem to diminish or be bent a little more. In a decade ruled by smutty talk shows, profane and violent music, and low class sitcoms such as “Married With Children”, “South Park”, and who can forget those clean cut boys “Bevis and Butt Head.” Stern seems to be up at the top of this hierarchy.
