Cloning humans has recently become a possibility that seems much more feasible in today’s society than it was twenty years ago. It is a method that involves the production of a group of identical cells or organisms that all derive from a single individual (Wadman, 6). Ever since researchers cloned a sheep named dolly over a year ago, the issue of applying this technology in reproducing human duplicates has been paramount in scientific and social circles (Voelker, 331). is accomplished through a field of science known as eugenics, which basically is an attempt to improve the human race. Advances in eugenics have only helped mankind in pushing forward to a greater civilization, a more perfect evolution (Silberner, 5). When new innovations in science are not encouraged but prohibited, they inevitably change into an undercover procedure. is already prohibited in Britain and likely soon here in Canada as a result of new legislation held before the commons. If this happens, then it will develop into a secretive, reckless operation where the possibilities are as endless as they are dreadful: human hybrids, clone armies, slave hatcheries, and who knows what else. The International Cloning Society expressed "There's absolutely no way any regulatory body is going to prevent the inevitable from happening”(Shapiro, p 195.)
