to the country seeking the American dream and looking for jobs. They, much like American citizens, are looking for jobs to support their families both in America and in their home country. However, unlike most of the newly unemployed Americans, illegal immigrants are usually poorly educated. In many cases, a couple will come to the United States to provide for their family. They are more concerned about making enough money to feed their family than they are about their children’s education. Thus, the children grow up poorly educated and sometimes not even graduating high school. This leads most illegal immigrants to the agricultural field because it requires little formal education and provides a small income but an income none the less.
