The implications of rhetoric analysis is simple, if you cannot analyze rhetoric you are easily persuaded and will be an uninformed consumer, voter, etc.

Exigence is what the rhetoric is responding to. An example of exigence would be the school cutting funding for the arts, so the art department asks for donations. My own example is that when I ask my parents for money, I am doing so because I am broke.

A rhetoric situation is the circumstance of exigence, audience, and constraints.

The argument is what the rhetoric wants you to believe or do. It is important to understand what the argument is because what they want you to do or believe could be wrong.
