This topic has being greatly debated over the years. There are three sides to this argument. One of them being out of your control, something you were destined to be. Another being you decide the person you want to be when you are old enough to understand what is that really attracts you to a person, not just a gender. The last side, which is the one I believe to be true, having to do with a little of both. What I believe that nobody will ever know for sure where certain feeling come from and why a person feels drawn to a certain type of person. When it came down to doing a survey as research for this paper the results where this; twelve out of sixteen gay or lesbian students at College of Southern Nevada, believed that being gay (or lesbian) was not a choice for them. One was uncertain and three stating that it was not a choice. When asking sixteen heterosexual males and females the same question fifteen stated that they believed it was a choice and one stated that they believe it wasn’t.
