The city was cloaked with the remains of winter, frigid with a subtle breeze, the kind that made you take a second breath. Spokane the town of sorrows, the town of nothing as I refer to it. Everything was either dead or holding on to the last bit of life it had left just to have a fighting chance to see the first glimpse of spring. The brains of virtue have dwindled to a mere spec of apathy. I remember I had motivation on my hand one day for a brief second, but I washed it off because it felt to demanding. These veins run to strong with freedom, yet the roads I walk on run strong with decision. Fuck, this world is a bitch. But that's the way I am, maybe I'm trying to make myself seem more interesting to people, or I could just be a man who likes to set his own rules, and not subside to a level where I would be forced to interact with these fucking people and this shit hole town.

I first moved to this city when I was 13. It seemed much different then, maybe because I was younger and more naive, not seeing the world through adult eyes, or probably because it was all new to me. Back then the town appeared more full of life, more beautiful.
