Thousands of artists around the world write music inspired by world affairs, the stresses of being a teenager or even complication in their own lives. By writing music, artists send messages out to the world that may help to better understand what’s happening in their lives.
In cities like L.A and New York, colorful words and pictures on the sides of buildings have become quite popular in today’s culture. Images or words that are scratched, drawn, or spray painted on brick walls are known as, Graffiti. Graffiti has evolved into a cultural existence, mainly related to underground hip hop music, and street dancing. Graffiti is commonly associated with local gang members. Gang members spray walls to mark their territory; they also “tag” walls to send messages to each other. However, not all graffiti is bad.
