Learning Preferences

There are different learning preferences, which are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Auditory learners learn better by listening or talking about a topic. Auditory learners depend on hearing or speaking as their main focus of taking in information. Visual-linguistic learners prefer writing language, such as reading and writing. Visual-Spatial learners use charts, graphs, demonstrations, videos, and other materials that they can use for study tactics. Not to mention, there are Kinesthetic learners. Kinesthetic learners remember and learn through movement or touching.

to study. For me to remember, I take notes from my notebook and then type them onto my own personal computer. I even make little songs related to the lecture.
Teachers could use this information by breaking up the students into 3 different learning groups, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, to prefer their own style of learning. If the students know their learning preferences, they could use this information inside of class for their academic success, and also for outside of class. Students could adjust to different teaching styles by learning how to learn in different ways. Group up with people that study differently than you, rather than sticking to one preferred style.
