In 19th century America, a term came into use to describe the expansion and movement of Americans across our continent. After the annexation of Texas to the Union, all diplomatic ties between the U.S. And Mexico were abandoned(McGeehan, 2). But with war, comes land. With America's territory hungry instinct's and that of it's high command, we drove into war in 1846.
