Dear Diary,

My hatred for the conspirators and my love for Caesar have clashed together to create a feeling I can in no way describe. Caesar was loving, sentimental and gloriously Roman. He did not deserve to be flung on the floor like a beggar, he was a God in his own way, and the people of Rome certainly looked up to him like a God. Caesar’s spirit still remains, and its energy has settled in my body, urging me to go and avenge the life so suddenly lost to so egotistic a person.

while I write these words, my grief is so intense that I would mistake myself for dead had I not felt the pain surging through my head. My anger is so intense that my hands will not stop shaking, and only when I think of revenge do they lie still for a moment.
Brutus is not a man: a man is strong in body and in mind, noble, and not only capable of being resilient and powerful, but also loving and merciful. Brutus is none of these; in his character there is no humbleness, no strength, and only love for what I hate most. The wrong that he committed was a clear sign of his passion: no human could display such treachery – this is the work of the devil. It is clear to me now that I must seek retribution for the sake of my soul and Caesar’s, and I see that I could do nothing better before I die than to rid this world of Brutus for once and for all.
