Mary Magdalene

Jesus touched the lives of many during His lifetime, but the life that will be displayed in this report is the life of Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene was a sinner just like the rest of us. The bible doesn’t say exactly where Mary Magdalene first meets Jesus. She could have first met Him in Luke 8:2, where is tells how she was healed of evil spirits, or she could’ve met him when the Pharisees brought her to Him. It doesn’t really matter where she first met Him, the important thing is the she did meet Him and accept Him as her Lord.

Jesus was so gracious to Mary Magdalene, He is gracious to us by allowing us to enter in the gates of heaven even though we are filthy sinners. He didn’t have to let her go, but he did. He doesn’t have to let us enter heaven, but he does. No one else would have greater love towards us than the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Luke 7:37-50 Jesus is eating in the Pharisee’s house. When Mary saw Him she grabbed a box of ointment and began washing the feet of Jesus. The Pharisees saw this and began telling Jesus about how she was a filthy sinner therefore He should not have allowed her to touch Him. After they told Him this, Jesus began teaching them. He begins to compare Mary to Simon and the others. Mary washed Jesus’ feet with her own tears while the others didn’t even offer water, she kissed Jesus’ feet continuously while the others didn’t even bother, and she anointed Him with ointment while the others didn’t even anoint Him with oil.
