The play reveals the conflicts that men and women face throughout their relationships. In his play, Shakespeare signifies the relationships between men and women through the portrayal of two characters named Beatrice and Benedick. Beatrice tries to outsmart Benedick with her snarky comments and engage in unspoken competition, "He wears his faith, but as the fashion of his hat, it changes with the next block." (1.1.66) It can be inferred that Benedick is fake and has different personalities.
