Music programs in public schools have afforded me the opportunity of self-expression. I have been playing the cello for four years and I have loved every minute of it. Interesting enough, I had not anticipated playing the cello, instead the violin; but was not selected after try-outs. Because I am a shy and introverted person, playing the cello has contributed to my development by allowing me come out of my shell and interact with others.
