My Decision To Get A Degree

When I turn down the path to success, education is the first step encounter. Five years ago, I realized that in order to be successful I would have to go back to school. Several times when I was 18 and 21, I went to school and did not finish. At the time I went because that is what was expected of me. In my eyes, I could get along just fine without going to college. As the years moved on, I worked at many jobs offering low pay and little chance of promotion to a job I could call a career. In my mid 20’s, it was marriage and kids and still working in jobs where there was no fulfillment. Low self-esteem was an unfortunate inhibiting factor in entering school.

Some people have not grown with the knowledge of computers and are finding they need more education in that area in order to function at a modern pace. Whether young or old education is valued and respected. Educating myself has changed my self-esteem in a positive, uplifting way.
